Karen is a high energy and engaging human capital professional with more than twenty years of specialized people experience across the full employee lifecycle.
She has led transformational HR initiatives and M&A efforts in global professional service organizations and public companies. Karen possesses a deep capability set in talent acquisition and onboarding, having led initiatives in recruiting transformation, applicant tracking implementation, employee assimilation, and engagement programs that are supported operationally through large onshore and near shore teams. While at PwC Karen held the role of US and Global Onboarding Leader, supporting 10,000 domestic new hires in their journey from the time of offer acceptance through rapid assimilation and productivity. Globally, she influenced the onboarding strategy across 163 countries.
Karen successfully translates her real-world experiences to assess, build, mature and scale human capital programs. Most recently she was a Global HR Business partner for 4 internal functions and the global shared services team at McKinsey & Company. Her broad expertise in compensation, total rewards, and organizational design have resulted in increased workforce effectiveness and overall business performance for the organizations she has supported.
Karen is an active member of SHRM and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR). She is a graduate of the Heinz School of Public Administration at Carnegie Mellon University and holds and MPA in Human Resources. In addition, she has an M. Ed in Management from the University of Georgia, and degrees in Economics and Psychology from The University of Pittsburgh.
